Do I need boating experience?
YES!!! In order to rent a boat from FHBR you must have basic boating experience. Your approval for rental will be determined with a safety checklist.
Do I need a Boater’s License?
No, in order to rent a boat in Washington state you do NOT need a Boater’s License. However, you WILL need to complete the Washington State Boating Programs “Motor Vessel Rental Safety Checklist”. This checklist must remain on the vessel for the entire rental. You will complete this at the dock.
How old do you have to be to rent a boat from FHBR?
23 years old with a valid Driver’s License.
Do you require a deposit?
No, we don’t require a deposit. We DO require a credit/debit card number to hold until the end of your rental. Rental charges will be applied upon your return and checkout completion.
Are there boundary limits? How far can I go?
Yes, our boats MUST stay within 25 miles of the Port of Friday Harbor. There will be a clear and precise map outlining the boundaries on each vessel.
How do I make a reservation?

What do I do if I need to cancel my reservation?
Please contact us immediately. There will be no charge if reservation is cancelled at least 72-hours in advance. A $50 charge will occur otherwise.
