Some of our favorite islands to visit (not accessible by ferry)
Jones Island is a quaint nature-filled escape from the bustling town of Friday Harbor. If you're on a half-day adventure consider anchoring here for lunch. Full-day adventures will have time for an onshore lunch at one of the many picnic tables scattered around the island at each campsite. There are plenty of walking trails, beaches and deer that will keep your energy flowing in a peaceful and relaxing environment.

Sucia Island is one of our absolute favorite destinations in the Salish Sea (we even named our dog after it)! It is a 564-acre marine park with 77,700 feet of shoreline and no electricity. Sucia is plentiful with dreamy coves, hikes and sights to see. The unique geological sandstone formations make it a top destination to explore by water and land.

Stuart Island is the perfect natural getaway for those seeking disconnection from cell service and commercial amenities and connection to the great outdoors. Although there are local citizens, there are no stores or public commercial establishments. Stuart has many beautiful hiking trails to popular destinations like the Turn Point Lighthouse and Lover's Leap. With plenty of state park facilities and picnic tables, it is an ideal stop for a snack or lunch.
